Lusting after the “wrong” person

Tempt by Remy Blake

Woah 😮 While Tempt is not my first Remy Blake book (I loved Clipped and Timber), I was a little stunned at the salaciousness of this story. A widow of an extremely wealthy man, Charlotte meets her now deceased husband’s son – her step-son Lucas she was totally unaware of – on the way to the funeral. And the chemistry between the two of them is undeniable. But with a 10 year age gap and the nature of how their ties to one another look, these two are forced to fight what is clearly an extremely powerful attraction.

The magnificent Remy Blake writing duo (keeping in mind this was their DEBUT novel together) manage to make this story more then just taboo erotica – which of course it is, but Tempt is about more than that… a love that comes when you least expect it, a connection that is forged despite the secrets that are held, a willingness to fight for what they want in the face of society’s view of what might be considered a “normal” relationship. And it wouldn’t be a Remy Blake novel without some incredibly hot, steamy and tantalising sex scenes – and Tempt delivers this in spades.

This is one talented writing duo that I’m looking forward to reading more from. Their stories are definitely one of my faves to read.
