Jock Row by Sara New
Sara Ney writes college romance like no other author I follow and after I fell in love with her Douchebag series and when discovered she was writing a new college based series I have been impatiently waiting for this first book to come out. And Jock Row is that book and it was most definitely worth the wait. The first full length book in the Jock Hard series – there’s also a novella Switch Hitter – this book was nothing like I expected and yet everything I love in a romance book!! Rowdy Wade is THE BEST book boyfriend ever – even if he doesn’t quite start out that way – and I absolutely love Scarlett’s sass, intelligence and her lack of desire to “fit in with the cool kids”. These two have the best kind of meeting ever and the friendship that follows is absolutely gorgeous.
I loved that this story didn’t have a whole heap of drama – there’s issues that arose of course but nothing too big. It really fit this couple and who they are as individuals as well as the beautiful story as well. Everything in Jock Row flows naturally and this is such a fabulous book to read – it reminded me a little of my own love story as there wasn’t a lot of drama with mine too. And I can’t forget to mention Rowdy’s parents – they totally steal the scenes they are in. Especially his mum who’s job is a little about out to author Sara Ney’s obsession with a certain romance genre 😉😉 And Rowdy’s dad totally made me laugh out loud with his “fatherly advice” – just fab!!!
Jock Row is the start of what I know will be another awesome series by Sara Ney. The characters are genuine and relatable (even to someone like me who is WAY out of my “college” years), the story was beautiful and the sexy time scenes… perfect!!!! So if this book isn’t on your TBR you should definitely go and add it – better yet just go and one click – because it’s a great book and if you’re new to Sara Ney, a great introduction to a wonderfully talented author.
